November

This month we got to explore a new science experiment that has now become a highly requested activity!! The kids got to experiment with chemistry and what happens when we add vinegar to baking soda to then reveal a hidden color.  I think everyone would agree, the bubbly "eruption" was the best part!

We adventured into rhyming land during our "N is for Nursery Rhyme" unit and got to enjoy lots of fun nursery rhyme classics like "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Hickory Dickory Dock." The kids loved having their very own interactive "Humpty Dumpty" books to take home. For our letter art this unit, we talked about on "N is for noodles" and glued on as many spaghetti noodles as we could to our letter Ns.

Leading into Thanksgiving week, we focused our theme on "F is for Food." We talked about lots festive foods we might find at a Thanksgiving feast, got to read silly books like "Turkey Trouble" and "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey", and even made our very own turkeys to take home.

Enjoy the peek into our classroom this month and stay tuned for some more fun as we wrap up 2024!
