Class Catalogue:
9:00–9:50 AM – Tinkers & Thinkers (STEM Builders Club)
This class is all about curiosity, hands-on construction, and creative problem solving! Students will work with a variety of open-ended materials to build, invent, and experiment. We’ll explore cause and effect, basic physics, and design thinking, while encouraging collaboration and perseverance. It’s all grounded in play, imagination, and a love of figuring things out!
10:00–10:50 AM – Brain Games
This class is all about strengthening logic, problem-solving, and strategic thinking in a fun, hands-on way. We’ll explore everything from chess and Rubik’s cubes to escape room-style puzzles, brain teasers, and spatial games. Each week will highlight a new thinking skill or game, with plenty of opportunities for collaborative play-based challenges. As the year progresses, students will also have time for free choice - revisiting favorite games, exploring at their own pace, and building confidence through curiosity.
11:00–11:50 AM – Cooking Chemistry
In this class, we explore math and science through real-life cooking and baking - always using clean ingredients (no dyes, no seed oils, etc.) We’ll dive into everything from sourdough bread and fresh pasta to seasonal snacks, treats, and kid-favorite recipes. Along the way, we’ll explore kitchen chemistry (like fermentation, leavening, and melting points), practice measurement and sequencing, and develop practical life skills in a fun and sensory-rich environment.
12:00–12:50 PM – Lunch Bunch & Social Hour
This midday break is all about connection and community. Students will eat together, play together, and enjoy time to build friendships in a relaxed, supervised setting. We’ll gently guide social-emotional skills like turn-taking, kindness, and conversation - while giving kids space to unwind, recharge, and just be kids.
1:00–1:50 PM – Hands-On Reading
This class takes a playful, multi-sensory approach to strengthening early reading skills. We’ll explore phonological awareness, letter-sound connections, and literacy foundations through movement, tactile activities, games, and story-based play. Rooted in the science of reading, this class is designed to support each child’s literacy journey in a joyful and developmentally appropriate way.
